Three Orbital Education schools unite for Model UN
Three Orbital Education schools gathered in Tirana, Albania to enjoy the Model UN programme.
Britannica International School, Budapest and British International School of Ljubljana travelled to World Academy of Tirana for their UN simulation event.
As immaculate hosts, World Academy of Tirana opened the event with traditional Albanian singing and dancing along with a speech by the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
The Model UN provides a unique opportunity for students to delve deeply into the operational principles of the United Nations, fostering a keen interest in global politics. With a two-day, jam-packed programme of speeches and debates, the fortunate students who took part have honed their leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, conflict resolution and research skills, whilst creating lasting memories.
The Model UN acknowledges that many of today's influential leaders in law, government, business, and the arts were participants in Model UN during their student years.
We are delighted that this event has brought together three Orbital schools from different corners of our global school community, adding an authentic dimension to the occasion.
The video below provides you with a glimpse into this remarkable event.
You can read the students' write-up of the event in their Model UN newspaper.
