Well-being

We believe that well-being is central to developing welcoming communities; encouraging self-belief and resilience amongst our staff and our students and empowering individuals to succeed.

Each Orbital school has a well-being committee tasked to support staff and students and, where appropriate, we have group-wide initiatives. This approach ensures that we are listening to the diverse needs of our schools and respecting the cultures in which they operate.

Our students are equally well supported and we follow the KSCIE safeguarding guidance across all of our schools with annual updates.

Safer Recruitment

Orbital Education Group is committed to safeguarding children and young people. Rigorous checks are carried out during the recruitment process on all shortlisted candidates. All appointments are subject to Enhanced DBS or International Child Protection Certificate and Prohibition Checks (for people who have ever lived or worked in the UK) or Criminal Records (Police Check / Certificate of Good Conduct) disclosure from their most recent country of residence which must be provided on request by the candidate.

Equal Opportunities Employer

Orbital Education Group recognises the value of, and seeks to achieve, a diverse workforce which includes people from all backgrounds. Our schools take positive steps to create an employment culture in which people feel confident of being treated with fairness, dignity and tolerance irrespective of their individual differences. This commitment extends beyond the relationship between and conduct of employees and potential employees, to the whole community. Our schools are committed to the elimination of unlawful discrimination and to the promotion of good relations between all.
