Orbital Schools Unite for Learning Outside of the Classroom.
Grade 10 students from World Academy Tirana have been enjoying a ‘Week Without Walls.’ As the name suggests, they’ve taken their teaching and learning outside of the classroom. In fact, they’ve taken it as far as Rome, Vienna and finally Budapest.
The aim of the week is to provide students with fresh opportunities to learn, including the benefits of travel, socialisation, and culture. Stepping outside the comforts of their daily routine also has many confidence-building benefits.
Although not everything was new for some of these Grade 10 students. Whilst in Budapest, Hungary, students met up with fellow Orbital Education students from Britannica International School, Budapest. For some, this was a chance to reconnect with familiar faces, after they met earlier in the year for a Model United Nations.
This time, the schools' meet-up involved competition of a different kind as students enjoyed some athletic competition on the court. Who was victorious? We couldn't possibly say...
We are delighted that these two schools embraced the opportunity to reconnect, opening up the door to global experiences and opportunities for our Orbital students. The only question now is, where will they head for next year’s week without walls?
