Fantastic International Baccalaureate Results 2024
On Saturday, July 6th, we, along with students, parents, and teachers, eagerly awaited the public release of this year's International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma results.
Our schools, British School Quito in Ecuador and World Academy of Tirana in Albania, offer the prestigious IB Diploma programme. At Orbital Education, we are aware of the tremendous effort our students have invested over the past two years, and we are therefore, extremely invested in seeing that our students achieve the best possible results to secure the brightest opportunities for their futures.
We are delighted to announce that, once again, our students have done themselves, their parents and their school proud.
At British School Quito Javiera Gutiérrez was awarded an outstanding score of 42, and she is not alone in her achievements, the overall pass rate in BSQ was above 90%, and the overall score was above the global average.
In World Academy of Tirana, Andrea Bylykbashi achieved a flawless score of 45. Fewer than 1% of students worldwide achieve this score, and Andrea is the first student to achieve it in Albania. You can learn more about Andrea, including his thoughts on the IB programme and his message to future IB students on the World Academy of Tirana website.
In addition to Andrea's achievements, across the World Academy of Tirana cohort, IB results were above the global average.
Andrea has secured a well-deserved place at Yale University to study Electrical Engineering. Other students from this year’s IB cohort across Orbital will study at London School of Economics, The University of Amsterdam, SOAS University of London, Vanderbilt University of the Netherlands, Universidad San Francisco de Quito, City University of London and many more fantastic destinations.
The IB programme is centred on producing valued global citizens. This year’s cohort now have a breath of global opportunities at their feet, and the social conscience and spirit to thrive.
Some fantastic and well-deserved achievements, well done from everyone at Orbital.
