About the School

Baleares International College (BIC)https://balearesint.net/campus... is the largest British owned school in Mallorca, providing education based on the English National Curriculum to over 480 students (from 5 to 18 years) in Sa Porrassa, a very accessible, beautiful rural area, adjacent to the southwest coast of Mallorca. We are accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education, based upon inspection and recommendation by the British Council, and are a founding member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS). About the Opportunity

The opportunity arises due to the current Head of Maths moving back to the UK next summer after 5 years leading maths. Under his leadership, maths has been transformed and last summer saw the school´s best ever results: at GCSE 87% of grades were 5-9, and 41% 7-9, with a value added score of +1.2.

This exciting opportunity is to lead the secondary maths team in our all-through school. Over the last 6 years, the school has gone from strength to strength; the staff team is a strong one, with a wealth of experience, evidenced by excellent exam results, high expectations, superb subject knowledge and close collaboration. Applicants should have experience and expertise in teaching maths at A'level and GCSE, with proven exam success, and a willingness to work collaboratively.
