Are you a fully qualified, inspirational, and highly motivated teacher, passionate about teaching sport, and seeking a new opportunity at a successful international school? If so, you will be interested in this exciting opportunity to join us.

About the School

Baleares International College (BIC) https://balearesint.net/campus... is the largest British owned school in Mallorca, providing education based on the English National Curriculum to 485 students (from 5 to 18 years) in Sa Porrassa, a very accessible but beautiful rural area, adjacent to the south west coast of Mallorca. We are accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education, based upon inspection and recommendation by the British Council, and are a founding member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS). The school is also a member of COBIS, the Council of British International Schools.

About the Opportunity

The school is seeking to appoint a physical education teacher, with effect from January 2025. Applicants should be committed and outstanding teachers, creative and enthusiastic, able to lead by example, possessing excellent teaching, organisational and communication skills. Most importantly, we are seeking to appoint a teacher who is caring and authentic, hardworking and resilient, and with a steadfast commitment and belief that all children can achieve.

We are seeking individuals who can apply a committed and common-sense approach to education, such that it achieves outstanding results and happy children. The role requires an individual who has sky-high expectations of what children can achieve and how they can behave. Although you will be a secondary teacher, as an all-through school we are seeking someone who is excited about the opportunities such a school creates, keen to work with primary staff to ensure a joined-up approach to the curriculum and a seamless transition across the key stages.

This is an exciting time to join the sports team, with a recently appointed, highly experienced and passionate leader of the team, who has a clear vision for the development and expansion of sport, competitions, expeditions and more. The successful candidate will want to play their part in the development and implementation of the school’s strategic plan, supporting the delivery of the school's mission to make the school the number one choice on the island.

As a British school, specialising in teaching the National Curriculum to a diverse, international student population, strong English language is an essential requirement and applications from native-level speakers of English are preferred.
