Group Operations - Process Development & Transformation
We have an exciting opportunity for a senior executive to join our successful and growing International Schools Group, as Group Operations Manager
This is an outstanding opportunity to join us at an exciting stage of our development and support our continued growth. It would suit an experienced senior leader with extensive experience in a variety of International school settings.
As Spain and Mexico are priority regions for the Group, it is a core requirement that all applicants have a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish (B2/C1). Candidates unable to demonstrate English and Spanish Language competence to this level will be rejected.
About the Role
The role will be responsible for developing and aligning all school-based support functions across the group. These being all non-academic roles which are under the leadership of the Business Manager or Finance and Administration Manager at each of our schools (finance, IT, premises, HR, facilities management, health and safety, legal).
The postholder will work closely with all Group functional leaders (e.g. Financial Controller, Group Head of IT, Group Head of HR, Regional Head of Schools, etc) with key focus around process development and transformation projects - Setting high standards and embedding robust processes across all Group schools. You may also be required to act in school-based Business Manager roles at schools within the group for a temporary period.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, forward thinking, innovative practitioner, with senior level experience, excellent knowledge, and passion for education.
Prior experience working in a bilingual environment / within bilingual education would be a distinct advantage.
You should be used to being accountable for outcomes and meeting financial targets, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams. You should be able to work collaboratively, be an adept problem solver, and have the confidence to take responsibility and communicate effectively. Commercial knowledge gained in education, or a for-profit business is also desirable.
Working for the Orbital Group is an exciting and interesting opportunity. The role requires regular attendance at the UK Head Office in Cheadle Hulme, Manchester, and significant and regular overseas travel. A flexible approach to home / office working is available when not travelling overseas.
